New Places with New Faces

Last night my new friend, Melanie and I went out on the town. First we went out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings where my beautiful sister Stacy, waited on us. That was  very nice because I haven't gotten to see her in a long time because she is always busy. Well after a good visit,  some dang good food, and a couple of Mountain Berry Teas, we left Buffalo Wild Wings. Our second destination for the night was Brewzerz. Brewzerz is like my second home. Every time I walk in I am greeted by almost everyone there. And of course poor Melanie felt really out of place. But no one judged her and she felt more comfortable. Well we said Hello to every one and then I made Melanie try an Alabama Slammer. And of course she said it was very delicious! After that I hugged my gorgeous mother and told her Happy Birthday and we left. Our third destination was Rags to Riches. I have never never been there before so it was a new experience for me. The place was very neat and kind of slow when we showed up. But then after 30 minutes or so alot of people started showing up.Well Melanie  and I had a couple of drinks and decided to leave. Our fourth destination was the Tamp and Grind where we met out mutual friend Josh and his friends Dustin and Darrel. I have been there once before so it was nothing new. We just sat around a table and talked. After we talked for about 20 minutes or so Melanie, Josh, and I decided to walk to Finnegan's Wake Pub around the corner. It was a quiet but busy place. I have never been there before but it was very nice. So we stayed there and Melanie and I had a couple more drinks before Josh went home and we stayed and talked some more. About 1:45 i decided it was time for me to get home because I have  work in the morning. So when we got to my mom's house Melanie and I sat and talked a little more and then she went home and I walked inside straight to my room and crashed. That was my first Girl's Night Out in a Long Time.

A Good Day Gone Bad

Well this is going to be my first post. Wish me Luck.

On Monday my mom's elbow started to swell up. There was no warning at all. Luckily my mom  works at a cancer treatment center, so they diagnosed her and came up with bursitis. We didn't think much of it at the time so she just put an ice pack on it. Then later on during the week it started to swell up some more and it looked like she had a tennis ball on the end of her elbow. So she got it checked at her work again and they said it turned into cellulitis. Well today she had a fever of 103 and she asked me to take her to the ER. Of course I did not hesitate. After 4 LONG hours of signing papers, blood work, IVs, talking to doctors, more paper work and deciding who could stay with her the next day, we got to go home. By this time I was hungry, so I decided I wanted to go get something to eat before we went home. So I pulled out of the parking lot of the hospital, took a left onto the street and then took a left at the light and proceeded down  the road towards McDonald's. About a mile Down the road the car behind me switches on the BLUE LIGHTS. I'm thinking "Great. Now what did I do wrong?" None the less, I pull over. When the officer walked up to the door I had to open the door because the window does not roll down. The officer then tells me I ran the light in front of the hospital A MILE BACK. I'm thinking to myself, "I know that light was green and I'm not crazy for thinking so". My mom agreed with me that the light was green. But I'm to polite to argue with the cop. Well luckily my manners get me out of the ticket and I proceed to McDonald's. When we get the Mc D's, I had to once again open the door to order through the drive threw. The lady tells me how much and I follow the line to the window. I give the lady my debit card and she tells he it was declined. Well she tried it again and it was the same results. So then I have to ask my mom for money. This is no problem to her, but none the less, it bothers me. So we get back to my mom's house and I go straight to my old room and put my food down on the bed. Then I come out to finish my laundry that I started before we went to the ER, and let Blue, my mom's black Labrador,  out to go do her business. Well when she comes back in the house, she goes straight for my bedroom. And I, not thinking nothing about it, go into the kitchen to empty trash cans. All of a sudden it hit me. "Mom, where's Blue?" Without her finishing the sentence I run to my room and Blue has eaten my whole quarter pounder and all of my fries. I was so furious with her I grabbed her by her collar and drug her out of my room and straight to my mom's room. When I got done yelling at her, and my adrenaline rush was done, I realized I twisted my ankle, and it was swollen twice it's size. What a wonderful night.
